These
inspections were performed by a qualified impoundment inspector under my supervision.
The impounding structures are functioning as designed and requved maintenance is
minimal and not related to structural integrity: Three impoundments (Wes[ Pyeatt No. 1,
Grouse No. 1 and Oak No. 1) were cleaned of sediment. This work commenced on June
24 and was completed on July 21.
DMG personnel commented on the existence of some cracks in the concrete spillways
during the August inspection. These cracks were noted during this inspection. Without
exception, the cracks were "hairline" in nature and at this time pose no threat to the
integrity of these structures. We will continue to monitor them quarterly.
Call me or Karl Koehler if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James M. Mattern
CO PE 20537
P.O.
