The followi•ig ponds will be cleaned
of sediment under guidelines discussed in section 4.J.1.4;
No-Name Dam {{1
No-Name Dam If2
Johnson Gulch Dam II1
Coyote Dam was inspected by a certified dam i-sF~ectc-: (Attachment 1).
The dead pool or sediment storage capacity of the clam is rcpproximately 50
acre feet. Total sediment accumulation since cons:rc.ctic7c is 21 acre feet.
The 60% sediment volume is 30 acre feet. Approxim.:.tc..1y 9 acre feet of sedi-
ment storage remain below the 60'/, sediment storage .'_r:vel. Therefore Coyote
Dam will not be cleaned this year.
Please note that the dead pool storage volume rc.vided in this corres-
pondence for Coyote Dam is different than those st+.t:e:d in the permit, pages
4-194, and 4-195. An error was made in calculatint t:he sediment and flood
volume capacities when the permit application was I:rEpared. A follow-up cor-
respondence is in preparation to further detail the corrected values.
Susan, if you have any questions concerning t!.'~ matter please call.
Be~JsSnt regards /~'%/
V/Jit~'f~G ~ ~iG!/~'~'
H.
