Box 10 <br />Sunnyside, Utah 84539 <br />Dear Bill: <br />During the March 17, 1990, quarterly inspection, a compliance survey o[ the Colorado Coal Mine <br />No. 1 property was conducted. The [ollowing areas were examined: _ <br />Sims and Markers <br />Some signs sad markers are in need of repair and/or replacement. Topsoil stockpile signs need to be installed <br />on the remaining stockpiles. _ , <br />Culverts <br />The two culverts on the main access roads are clear and appear capable o[ handling storm runoR conditions. <br />The county culverts at the intersection of the two onsite roads are still clogged <br />itches <br />All ditches appear capable of handling disturbed and undisturbed drainage from the site. <br />,. <br />Sedimentation Pond ~ ~ - ` <br />The sediment pond was inspected. Minor rills and gullies exist on the north ,and southeast banks. No <br />vegetation exists around the pond <br />Subsidence Areas <br />The two areas o[ historic underground [nine subsidence were reclaimed during the fall of 1989. <br />Structures <br />The old house which was located adjacent to the coal stockpile area was dismantled and reclaimed during the <br />fall of 1989. <br />Records <br />The courthouse records were not examined during this visit to the si[e. <br />~ Monitorine <br />All sur[ace and groundwater monitoring at the site has been eliminated by approved technlal revision. <br />Site Reclamation ' <br />The site was reclaimed during the fall of 1989. The majority o[ the straw mulch has remained in place.
