Cattany
From: Tom Schreiner 7 Division DirecTOr
Natural Resource Trustee
RE: MMRR Quarry -112 Application, DMG Response to November 3, 2005
Silver Dollar Metro District Objection Letter, Class: Permit
I, Tom Schreiner, spoke with Ms. Lynn Venters of the Black Hawk/Central City Sanitation
District approximately 10:00 A.M. on November 7, 2005 regarding the Silver Dollar
Metropolitan District's (Silver Dollar) November 3, 2005 objection letter, submitted on their
behalf by Grimshaw & Harring. I mentioned that the objection letter references a Blast
Vibration Analysis report that Silver Dollar is currently preparing and will submit at the
November 21, 2005 pre-Hearing Conference. I mentioned that the Division is preparing to make
a recommended decision on the permit application by November 15, 2005 and that in order for
the content in the Blast Vibration Analysis report to be considered and factored into the
Division's recommendation, the report would need to be submitted to the Division as well as the
Applicant as soon as possible to allow for sufficient review time. Otherwise, the content of the
report may need to be reviewed after the Division's recommendation.
I also inquired as to the ownership and management of the light poles along Highway 119 near
the proposed quarry entrance. Ms. Venters indicated that Silver Dollar owns and manages the
light poles.
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Acrive and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
