MINED ~D WILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUAT~N (Revised) <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining ppezmiX for: <br />SC.4yldWyldE-y & SW;~NE~IvE~ <br />GIIvTi; GRAVEL FIT ~ Open Gravel F'it ~ 1JW-',SE,'-,IdEy & Lc.-',SW,'-,NEr~, Sec. 9, T215, R46W. <br />Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal) <br />k'ildlife Species list: <br />Fronghorn Swift Fox <br />Deer (?) Various nongame bird, <br />rabbit <br />i•;ourning Dove <br />Coyote <br />Endangered/critical species/impacted: <br />?.one that we are aware of. <br />Critical habitats/vegetative communities impacted: <br />i+one that we are aware of. <br />Assessment of impact: <br />mammal, & reptile spp. <br />1•:inimal due to it's location on top of a small hill, in a grazed pasture, and the fact <br />that a pit already exists due to previous gravel operations. <br />Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />is designed). <br />I reconanend that the site be graded and sloped to j:l or less and reseeded x3 ti: native <br />Erasses. crush piles can be constructed to provide cover for wildlife species. Gince <br />the surrounding area is very arid, I recommend that at least part of the bottom of the <br />nit be sealed. This would increase the chances of the site holding rater for local wild- <br />life species and cattle during wet years or after heavy thunderstorms.
