SITE DESCRIPTION • <br />SOILS INFORMATION <br />EXHIBIT B <br />The following information was obtained from site observations <br />and the Soil Survey of Pueblo Area, Colorado, a publication printed <br />by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Soil Conservation <br />Service. The seed mix we propose is based on a native species <br />common to the site and surrounding areas. The guidelines in PLANT <br />MATERIALS FOR USE ON SURFACE-MINED LANDS IN ARID AND SEMIARID <br />REGIONS, an SCS publication was used to prepare the seed mixture <br />rates that follow, the rates are applicable to drilling. This mix <br />will place 46.1± seeds/sgft/pls and exceeds the recommended 40 <br />seeds/sgft/pls in the reference. Soil units are shown on an <br />excerpt from Map 20 of the SCS Publication, on page 7 following <br />this text. <br />1. Current cover percent is: 158 <br />2. Topsoil depth on site averages: 0 to 16 inches <br />3. Seeding dates recommended: November 1 (after first freeze) to <br /> April 30 (before last frost). <br />4. Fertilizer: Phosphate at 40 lb/ac and nitrogen at 40 lb/ac. <br />5.
