The following information pertaining to wildlife is provid8~(~8ti0n Division
use by Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a
mining permit for:

Wildlife Species Liat: Horned Lark, Thirteen-Lined Ground
Squirrel, Meadowlark, White-Tailed Jack Rabbit, Antelope, Elk,
Western Jumping Mouse.
Endangered/Critical Species/impacted: None
Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted: None
Assesa~aent of Impacts Temporary impact to 9.98 acres of high
prairi~a. If properly reclaimed, losses should only be temporary
and wi:Ll allow wildlife to re-establish use of the site subsequent
to ces:>ation of mining and reclamation activities.
Mine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for
Nhich restoration is designed): Topsoil should be properly removed
and stockpiled for use during reclamation. If left longer then six
months topsoil should be seeded with a mix to prevent wind and
water ~arosion. Final slopes should not exceed 3H:1V. Disturbed
areas should be topsoiled and reseeded with a native seed mix
similiar to surrounding areas as per SCS recommendations. The site
should be fenced and all stock excluded during reclamation until
such time that adequate cover exists,per MLRD specifications, for
release of bond.
