There is one
area that should have special emphasis, which the plan also addresses, and that it is imperative
that provisions be made for harvest of deer in the area.
The present management of Rabbit Mountain does not permit a harvest of deer. If this
management were to be promulgated for the entire area, overpopulation will quickly develop end
with it the usual problems of overuse of the range, disease, end damage problems.
The reclamation plan as outlined in the application presents a plan that will enhance the wildlife
values not only from a game animal point of view but also for nongame end the raptors in
particular. Therefore, we concur with the stated plans for the project as it will also enhance the
recreational value as well.
Biologist
DB(k/L41
cC MLRB
Moss
Gabler
Leonard
File
