Box 1773
Durango, Colorado 81302
Dear John:
701~mino del Ria
Durango, Colorado 81301
March 12, 1987
I evaluated the soil and vegetation at your sand pit along the
Animas River south of Trimble Lane. The area of concern is the
work area of about one acre on the bank.
This area is an old sand bar and is composed mainly of stratified
layers of sand, loamy sand and sandy loam. The area is up out of
the river and does not have a flooding hazard.
Vegetation is very sparse and consists mostly of annual weeds. The
land owner does not want the site reseeded when the site is
reclaimed. Therefore, no reseeding recommendation is being
provided. We can provide this later if needed. The site can be
smoothed and the hole used far loading can 6e filled and smoothed
eff.
Sincerely,
~.~~~~~
J.P.
