~~~ 61 I Skyline Road - Laramie. During the month of November 2006, DMP 007 did not exceed
any compliance criteria. The initial analysis of DMP 004 exceeded the compliance criteria for
mercury during this monitoring period. Mercury exceeded the labs method detection limit by one
one-hundred thousandths per mg/L. ACZ Laboratories (ACZ) was contacted and the sample was
reanalyzed with anon-detect result which did not confirm the original value. The latter analysis
exceeded the method hold time. ACZ personnel noted that the practical quantitation limit is one
one-thousandth per mg/L therefore the detection limit and result are within the margin of error
for the method. The initial positive hit could have been due to contamination or carryover from
an earlier sample. DMP 004 results for the month of December have been received and mercury
did not exceed compliance criteria. For the above mentioned reasons DMP 004 did not exceed
any compliance criteria in November.
Should the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety have any comments or
concerns regarding this submittal, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
~.~
FrrG
Beth Heesen, P.G.
Project Manager
TNS
Enclosures
File: 99-144
