• 6.3.7 The Colorado Antiquities Act of 1973 <br />In this act the state of Colorado reserves title to all historic, <br />prehistoric, and archeological resources in all lands, rivers, lakes, <br />reservoirs, and other areas owned by the state. These resources include <br />all deposits, structures or objects which provide information pertaining <br />to the historical or prehistoric culture of people within the boundaries <br />of the state as well as fossils and other remains of animals, plants, <br />insects, and other objects of natural history. The act also gives the <br />State Historical Society the responsibility of issuing permits for the <br />investigation of the resources defined above within the state of Colorado. <br />• <br />• <br />
