The necessary <br />order of events for a wastewater treatment facility expansion such as this is to first obtain Site Approval from <br />the Division, then amend the CDPS permit accordingly. The permit cannot be amended until the site <br />approval is issued. We understand that you are proceeding now with the preliminaries necessary for <br />submission of the site approval request and will submit the request soon. <br />On this basis, we must place the permit modification request on hold until the site approval is issued. Once it <br />is issued, we will resume processing of the modification request. Pending my receipt of notification of site <br />approval, the drafting of your permit is hereby suspended. [n accordance with the Colorado Water Quality <br />Control Act, the amount of days between this letter and receipt of the issued site approval is not included in <br />the 180 day drafting time frame, nor is up to fifteen additional days for our review of the approval. Please <br />be aware that discharge at the higher flow cannot occur until the permit modification has been issued by us. <br />Please note that, contrary to my previous indication, this action will require public notice. <br />Please contact me at (303) 692-3605 if you have any questions about your permit.
