EXHIBIT 26 - Continued •
Morset Series - Continued
7.SYR, Value of 5 through 7 dry, 3 through 6 moist, loam or l:lght clay
loam but averages 18 to 35 percent clay, 20 to 60 percent silt, and 15
to 60 percent Band. The C horizon has hue of 2.SY through 7.SYR;
subhorizons redder than 7.SYR occur in some pedons. This horizon is
typically loam or clay loam with 18 to 35 percent clay. It is normally
moderately to very strongly alkaline.
Spicerton Series (X31)
The Spicerton series is a member of the fine, montomorillonitic
family of Borollic Natrargids. Typically, Spicerton soils gave pale
brown, calcareous, platy, strongly alkaline A2 horizons, brown, very
strongly alkaline clay B2t horizons having columnar and angular blocky •
structure, and brown, very strongly alkaline, clay C horizons contain-
ing consistent subhorizons of visible salt accumulation.
Typifying Pedbn: Spicerton sandy loam
(Colors are for dry soil unless otherwise noted.)
A2 0- 2"---Pale brown (lOYR 6/3) loamy fine sand, dark brown
(IOYR 4/3) moist; weak thin platy structure pairtin;g to
fine granules; soft, very friable, non-sticky, non-plastic;
10 percent gravel, mostly on the surface; calcareous;
strongly alkaline; abrupt smooth boundary. (1 to k inches
thick)
B2t 2-10"---Brown (lOYR 5/3) clay, dark brown (10 YR 4/3) moist;
moderate medium columnar structure parting to fine angu-
lar blocks; slightly hard, friable, very sticky, very
plastic; thin continuous wax-like coatings on facers of •
