Any statements proposing that downed trees would be separated into piles and made <br />available for firewood collection must be revised to state: <br />Downed trees and all other woody material will be placed on top of the topsoil <br />during reclamation, either as mulch or in whole pieces. <br />14. Any statements proposing to build safety beans with salvaged topsoil should be <br />revised to state; <br />Berms will be constructed of waste rock due to limited topsoil resources. <br />20. Any statements made proposing awire-rope gate restricting access on the Packrat <br />road should be revised to state: <br />The roads into both the Whirlwind and Packrat mine areas will have <br />swinging/locking metal gates. <br />21. Statements made concerning reclamation goals with vegetation should say: <br />Disturbed areas will be considered satisfactorily revegetated when the percent <br />vegetative cover at least equals the cover present prior to disturbance and the plant <br />species composition is at least as desirable as that present prior to disturbance <br />(BLM 1987).
