4.2 Flttise~ Sattmlira <br />Spoil sampling will be oonoentrated in the wolf Creek reclamation <br />area. Spoil will be sampled on a 300-foot grid prior to soil <br />t~rL~-ibution and analyzed for pH, EC, and acid-base potential. A <br />selectively handled suitable spoil topdressimg or lime application <br />will be made where acid strata (pH less than 5 and ABP less than -5) <br />is encrnmtered. <br />Sampling will also focus on the high clay areas near Core Hole 2034E. <br />'Eae spoil will be deeply ripped ar chiseled plowed where clay strata <br />exist on the spoil surface. <br />Regraded spoil frmn the Lennox highwall reduction area (in the <br />~++~~ate vicinity of Drill Hole Site 2614E) will be sampled on a <br />300-foot grid ctrl tested far sodium. Exposed sodic strata will <br />either be burie3 in the final pit or covered with two to three feet <br />of suitable spoil. <br />Postrnine spoil water quality will continue to be monitored for N03 N ~' <br />at Sites BP-0001 and DA-0004. the data will be presented in the <br />annual Hydrology Report. <br />u <br />6-164 Revised 12/10/92 <br />
