<br />Portal ~1 Reclamation Channel <br />HYDRAULICS OF RECLAMATION CHANNEL <br />page 3 <br />The existing drainage slope in the vicinity of the reclaimed <br />portal was measured from the available mapping. It was <br />determined that the design slope, to match the existing grade, <br />would be 250. This is a steep channel slope. In order to keep <br />the erosion potential and tractive forces as low as possible in <br />the channel, it was designed with a wide, flat configuration. <br />Table 2 presents the specifics of the channel. <br />Table 2.
