Cost of modifying an industrial wastewater treatment plant, if any, to provide for no salt discharge. <br />c. Cost of salt *++;n;m;~ation. <br />d. Description of the quantity and salinity of the water supply. <br />e. Description of water rights, including diversion and consumptive use quantities and the compatibility of Colorado water <br />laws with either the complete elimination of a salt dischazge or any plan for m;n;m;zing a salt dischazge. <br />f. Alternative plans that could reduce or eliminate salt discharge. Alternative plans shall include: <br />i. Description of alternative water supplies, including provisions for water reuse, if any. <br />ii. Description of the quantity and the quality of the proposed dischazge. <br />iii. Description of how salts removed from dischazges shall be disposed of to prevent such salts from entering surface <br />waters or ground water aquifers. <br />iv. Costs of alternative plans in dollars per ton of salt removed. <br />v. Of the alternatives, a statement as to the one plan for reduction of salt dischazge that the applicant recommends be <br />adopted. <br />g. Such other information pertinent to demonsttation of nonpracticability as the Division may deem necessary, such as <br />i. Detailed information including a description of the topography, geology, and hydrology <br />ii. Direction and rate of ground-water flow and the chemical quality and quantity of surface streams and springs that <br />might be affected <br />iii. A demonstration that the ground water to be intercepted normally would reach the river system in a reasonable time <br />frame and would contain approximately the same or greater salt load than if not intercepted <br />iv. A demonstration that no significant localized problems are created. <br />E. GENERAL MONITORING, SAMPLING AND REPORTING REQUIItEMENTS <br />1. Routine Reporting of Data <br />Reporting of the data gathered in compliance with Part I.B.1 shall be on a monthly basis. Reporting of all data gathered shall <br />comply with the requirements of Part I.E. (General Requirements). Monitoring results shall be summarized for each month <br />and reported on Division approved dischazge monitoring report (DMR) forms (EPA form 3320-1). The forms shall be mailed <br />to the agencies listed below so they aze received no later than the 28th day of the following month. If no dischazge occurs <br />during the reporting period, 'No Dischazge" shall be reported. <br />The DMR forms consist of four pages -the top "original" copy, and three attached no-carbon-required copies.
