It involved the disturbance of a small amount of
land outside the permit boundary. In our discussions it was agreed
that an amendment would be necessary to correct the problem. On this
day (March 26) I submitted for review and consideration of approval an
amendment to the permit which includes not only the area where the
disturbance occurred, but also a large amount of additional land that
includes all the land under the control of Daniel's Sand. By expanding
the permit to the property limits this should avoid [he possibility of
transgressing the boundaries in the future.
I am not sure who will be processing the amendment, but I would like to
point out one feature of the amendment that is of importance. At the
same time this amendment was submitted an amendment to the Castle
Concrete Sand Pit (permit 77-213) was also submitted, Because the
reclamation plans for both of these operations are linked it would be
most advantageous if the same person would review both amendments as,
more or less, a single package. Although both plans can stand alone,
the plan for the overall area covered by both operations makes the most
sense when both amendments are looked at together.
Thank you.
Re pectfully,
i~~I~cQ' i~~~~--
Mark A.
