Mining Plan:
The gravel deposit will be removed starting with the Southern
end of the point, (marked "X" on map), and proceed generally
Northward and Eastward (N E) (marked " --~" on map). Depending
upon the depth of the deposit, several layers of 12ft. to 15 ft.
will be removed until the bottom of the deposit is found.
These layers will be removed 150 ft. to 200 ft. from starting
point. As the last layer is being removed and as room allows,
the reclamation will start. This same process (of a small pre-
pared area and total deposit removal) will be repeated through-
out the life of the mine. The overburden of the initial pre-
pared area will be stockpiled (in areas shown on map as "o oo")
and redeposited as soon as possible. Subsequent stock piles of
overburden will be placed just ahead of the areas being prepared
for processing. The haul road through the middle of the affected
area will be used for redepositing the overburden and will remain
to provide acess through the tree farm. The movement of the over-
burden stock piles will be by dumptruck. The overburden will then
be leveled and spread by crawler-tractor. The final grading will
be done by a road grader before the tree planting starts. After
the initial area is prepared it is the goal of the operator to be
able to plant some trees every year. The equipment used in the
operation of this pit include those customarily used for crushing
and processing gravel. The gravel deposit is of a loose nature
and no blasting of any sort is required. The crusher will be
brought in only for short periods of time and only as necessary
to maintain stock piles of crushed material.

I\,:~ ~ IJ'iV
~0~0.
