Shelton <br />Director <br />January 5, 1982 <br />Mr. Drew Scheltinga <br />Weld County Engineer <br />915 10th Street <br />Greeley, Colorado 80631 <br />RE: Our File numbers 81-285 through 81-293; similarly situated limited <br />impact permits. <br />Dear Mr. Scheltinga: <br />I have reviewed the above application for adequacy and have the foZZowing <br />questions, comments, and suggestions which are intended to aid you in <br />bringing this application into full compliance with the law and to the <br />satisfaction of the Mined Land Reclamation Board. Please address <br />each of the following items in detail. <br />Note: Unless specified, all items pertain to all applications above. <br />1. Please specify the minimum depth to which topsoil will be applied <br />to the affected lands. Areas which will receive less than (4) four <br />inches of topsoil should be identified on Exhibit C as to the extent. <br />A soil rehabilitation or treatment plan should be addressed for these <br />areas. Additionally, topsoil should be stockpiled in a consolidated <br />manner, out of the way of other mining related activities, identified <br />at the site, and stabilized with a suitable cover of vegetation if <br />the stockpile will remain undisturbed for more than one growing season. <br />2. Please specify the seed mixture to be utilized at the sites. <br />3. Please give reclamation time tables for the sites. <br />
