MANAGEMENT
RECEIVED
AUG Z 1 2006
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety,
On behalf of Snowcap Coal Company, enclosed are discharge monitoring reports for CDPS
Permit No. CO 0027146, outfalls 001 through 016. The reports are for the month of July 2006.
In a letter to Ms. Kelly Morgan, dated July 28, 2006, Snowcap reported a noncompliant
discharge that occurred on July 20. As stated in the letter, the discharge occurred during a
substantial rain event from a ditch conveying flow to Outfall 005 and ceased discharging soon
after the storm passed. The permittee was unable to get samples of this discharge so no
analyses is available. Also, as the discharge happened prior to reaching Outfall 005, we have
indicated on the DMR that no discharge occurred for this outfall.
If you have any questions, please call me at (970) 241-8118.
Sincerely,
~~•
Tonya Hammond
Owner's Representative
Enclosures
cc: DMG Denver Office
File
