MINERAL <br />RESOURCES <br />AHD ENGINEERING, INC. <br />January 28 , 1981 <br />MR,j, T.TTT.TAN DFTTISON <br />4950 Chinquatin lane <br />Beaumont, TeXdS 77708 <br />RE: Trinidad Basin Miming, Inc. <br />Application to the Mined Land <br />for a Coal Mining Permit <br />Dear Mrs. Denison: <br />Reclamation Division <br />Trinidad Basin Mining, Inc. is in the process of developing a <br />permit application to demonstrate compliance with the Regulations of <br />the Colorado Mined land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining and the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining f~clamation Act in <br />order to continue their surface mining operation. As you ]mow, the <br />Trinidad Basin Mine, formerly the Del Agua Mine is approximately six <br />miles Hest of T„~iow and has been in existence since 1977. <br />In order to satisfy Rule 2.05.5(1)(b) of the above regulations, <br />Trinidad Basin Mining must contact the surface ocaiers of the land <br />within their permit boundazy and solicit coirtrents on the proposed <br />post mining land use. Therefore, Trinidad Basin Miming is seeking <br />your oonmPnts on the proposed post mining land use detailed below. <br />A speedy reply to this request Hauld be most appreciated, as Trinidad <br />Basin Mining intends to sul=nit the application by February 17, 1981 <br />to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. <br />Trinidad Basin Mining intends to return the land ~ rangeland <br />and wildlife habitat upon oonq~letion of mining.
