Failuray Company <br />604 West 3ni Street <br />Pueblo, Colorado 81003 <br />RE: Trinidad Basin Mining, Inc. <br />Application to Mined Land Reclamation Division for <br />a Coal Mining Permit Application <br />Dear Mr. Shofner: <br />7Yinidad Basin Mining is in the process of developing a permit <br />application to submit to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />which deironstrates compliance with the Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land I~clamation Hoard for Coal Mining and the provisions of <br />the Colorado Surface Muting Reclamation Pct in order to continue their <br />surface mine operation. The mine is located in Del Aqua Canyon with the <br />Ioadout facilities (i.e., railroad siding) located in Trinidad. <br />In older to satisfy Fdile 2.05.5(1)(b) of the above regulations, <br />Trinidad Basin Mining must contact the surface owners of the land to <br />be permitted and solicit their camients on the proposed post mining <br />land use. Therefore, Trinidad Basin Mining is seeking A.T. & S.F. <br />Railway Company's cenrents on the proposed post mining land use detailed <br />below. A speedy reply to this request would be most appreciated as <br />Trinidad Basin Mining intends to sukmit the application by Febn,a~'y <br />17, 1981 to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. <br />The proposed post mining land use for the loadout will be for <br />industrial usage.
