observations during the inspection and a hand level survey of the depth of the sumps,
the sumps have excess capacity plus the following design capacity:
Water Sediment Total
East Sump - A-F 0.80 N/A 0.80
West Sump - A-F 0.32 N/A 0.32
The sewage lagoons located at the unit train loadout consist of an aeration lagoon and
a series of three non-discharging lagoons. During the inspection, the first lagoon was
dry and the second and third lagoons (cells 3 & 4) contained some water. The capacity
of the lagoons is not considered important and is therefore not presented. The lagoons
are inactive. The embankment on all of the lagoons needs to be graded to smooth out
erosional features. Plans are to delay maintenance of the embankments until the
sewage treatment system is re-activated.
To the best of my knowledge and belief and except as noted above, the impoundments
have been maintained as designed~Rd~i~ accordance with the approved plan and
applicable regulations. ~s~p4d,o c~<<'~,,
eo o- r ~,°
~f ,~ ~ z os
Jai7~s~. to~Y `° N3 Date
-4-
