y' ~ • • <br />EX1iIBIT I <br />SOIL SURVEYl <br />86 - Purner $ock outcrop complex, 10 to 50 percent slopes. <br />This complex consists of moderately steep or steep soils <br />on uplands and ridges. It is about 55 percent Purner <br />fine sandy loam and about 30 percent Rock outcrop. Purner <br />fine sandy loam is smoother and less sloping, and Rock out- <br />crop is steeper commonly on the western side of ridges. <br />Included with this soil in mapping is about 15 percent <br />areas of Kirtley soils. <br />Runoff is rapid, and the hazard of erosion is severe. <br />This soil is suited to native grasses. Capability unit VIIe-1, <br />dryland; Purner soil in Shallow Foothill range site and <br />Rock outcrop not assigned to a range site; not ,sssigned <br />to a windbreak suitability group. <br />93 - Rock Outcrop <br />This mapping unit is bare, or nearly bare rock. Included <br />in mapping are areas of shallow and very shallow soils, <br />mainly around the edges of the mapped areas. <br />Runoff is rapid. The hazard of water erosion i;> severe <br />on the included soils and in adjacent areas that receive <br />runoff. <br />This unit is used mainly for wildlife habitat acid esthetic <br />purposes.
