Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Marr Mine, C 1980-006, First and Second Quarter 2007 Sediment Pond Inspection Reports <br />Dear Mr. Patterson <br />The Division received Kerr Coal Company's (KCC) first and second Quarter 2007 Sediment Pond <br />Inspection reports on July 23, 2007. Submittal of the second quarter reports was incompliance with Rule <br />4.05.9(17). First quarter reports need to be submitted to the Division in a more timely manner. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by KCC on Mazch 21, 2007 for first quarter 2007. Ponds were <br />still partially snow and ice covered during the first quarter 2007 inspection. No problems were noted with <br />any of the ponds during the first quarter 2007 inspection. Ponds A, B, D, E, and F discharged during first <br />quarter 2007. <br />Second quarter 2007 pond inspections were conducted on June 18, 2007. None of the ponds were <br />discharging at the time of the second quarter 2007 inspection.
