2.05.3(6) (c)
• Overburden from
will be removed
amound of waste
#2 Mine. Refer
underground dev
the proposed underground development waste disposal site
in stages. These stages will be determined by the
developed in the Red Canyon #1 t?ine and proposed
to Section 2.05.3(9) for details on the proposed
=lopment waste disposal site.
In general, overburden will be removed from a specified area. The
specified area will be a site chosen to be utilized for fill with
underground development waste. The overburden will be removed at an
average depth of two or ten feet with a dozer and stockpiled near the
area in question. Refer to the Proposed Surface Disturbance Map,
2.05.3(2)(b)-1, for the location of the overburden stockpile in
relation to the fill areas. When the area has been filled with
underground development waste and graded, the overburden will be
replaced at a depth of 3.5 feet. As with the topsoil stockpile,
(refer to Section 2.05.3(5)), the overburden stockpiles will be
located so as not to be disturbed by mining operations.
• Referring to Soils Resource Information, Section 2.04.9, it is
noted that the topsoil and overburden are medium in nitrogen and
low in phosphorus fertility. Before any revegetation is done,
20 pounds of nitrogen and 60 pounds of phosphorus per acre will be
mixed with the overburden.
Overburden will be replaced on the fill areas by means of a loader or
earthmover, spread with a dozer, and compacted with a sheepsfoot
roller to a depth of 3.5 feet.
•
II¢
