Destructive extrusion seam samples DX-01 through DX-09 were marked, <br />removed, and tested. <br />Ames continued placement of Structural Fill (SF) in the Phase IVb azea. Ames placed SF at the Phase <br />IVa/IVb tie-in, at the Phase IVb PSSA floor, and above the Phase PJb sump. Ames also continued <br />slope recontouring in the Phase IVb area on Substation Hill, on the northern PSSA slope, in the PSSA <br />floor, and on the Phase lII ore slope. <br />Ames conducted SF blasts in Phase IVb near station 14+00 of the permanent diversion channel on <br />October 2°d and 3`d at 17:00. <br />Ames began placement of Bedding Fill (BF) over the existing Phase III ore slope on September 30a' in <br />prepazation for geomembrane deployment. Ames placed one foot of BF from the edge of liner to the <br />9606 bench. <br />Ames continued excavation of the interior anchor trench along the Northern limit of the Phase Nb <br />PSSA in prepazation for geomembrane deployment. Ames excavated approximately 1,000 lineaz <br />feet of anchor trench. <br />Ames performed confirmatory drilling activities associated with the Phase IVb construction azea on <br />underground working UG-490. <br />Ames installed Underdrain Fill into a 3' wide by 2' deep by 40' long trench along the 2H:1 V slope <br />just above the PSSA sump area and connected this trench to a 14' deep by 4' squaze sump excavated <br />just north of the PSSA sump. The sump was also backfilled with Underdrain Fill and its bottom was <br />excavated to an elevation approximately 5' below the PSSA sump elevation. All of the Underdrain <br />Fill placed was covered with approximately 1' of SF. <br />Phase Nc <br />Ames performed excavation remediation activities for underground workings UG-269, UG-279, and <br />UG-498. These workings were observed and verified to be "Deep" as defined in the drawings and <br />will be remediated accordingly. <br />Ames performed confirmatory drilling activities associated with the Phase IVc construction azea on <br />underground working UG-291. Ames blasted workings located at UG-291 on October 11~' at 12:00. <br />Ames resumed placement of Concrete Plug (CP) concrete into "Deep Shafts" UG-279, UG-2881289, <br />and UG-292. Ames placed three feet of concrete in accordance with 1FC Drawing 12, Detail 1. <br />Ames placed Cemented Rockfill (CR) at UG-274 by tapering the workings and placing 7 feet of CR in <br />accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1. <br />Ames placed SF into shallow workings at UG-275, UG-508, and UNK-17. <br />rn~,~rvc3sm~soa~za~o Golder Associates Inc. <br />
