Monitoring Requirements
15
GO-0030.:•'
In order to obtain an indication of the probable compliance or non-
compliance with the effluent limitations specified in Part {, the
permittee shall monitor all effluent parameters at the fallowing
required frequencies.
Effluent Parameter Measurement Freauzncy c/d/ Sample Type e/
Instantaneous
Flow (MGD) 1Jeekly or Continuous
Total Suspended Solids Monthly Grab
(mg/1)
Total Iron (mg/1) Monthly Grab
•
Oil and Grease (mg/1) Weekly Visual or Grab
pH (s. u.) Weekly Grab
Salinity f/ Quarterly Grab
Self-monitoring samples taken in compliance with the monitoring
requirements specified above shall be taken at: all approved point
source discharges as indicated on the area maps submitted pursuant
to PART III-A.
c/ Monitoring is required only during periods of discharge. If
"no discharge" occurs, [his shall be reported at the specified
frequency. (see Part B.)
•
1/81
d/ Shou{d a discharge occur due to snowmelt or a rainfall event,
sampling of all parameters shall be done as a minimum at the
beginning and a[ [he end of the discharge. The permittee shall
indicate.on the monitoring report when the discharge is caused
6y this snowmelt or rainfall event.
e! See definitions, Part B.
f/ Analysis for salinity may be either as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
or by electrical conductivity where a sa[isFactory correlation with
TDS has been established. The correlation should be based on a
minimum of five (5) different samples.
Revised April 19E?4
