09/10/2003 10:42 7197386083 MS FOREST
EXHff3TT B -SITE DESCRIPTION, CONTINUED
WATER
PAGE 02
There are no water structures on the site. The closest stream is the North Santa Clara
Creek that at its closest point is approximately 1 mile north of the site. The North Sawa
Clara is a small creek that during dry years has little water in it. The creek is
approximately 200 feet lower than the lowest mining level. Moving milt not reach the .
ground water table so there will be mo innpacts to the groundwater table. Our
im~estigations indicated the ground water table is more than 120 feet below the surface of
the site, so no ground water will be exposed. Surface or subsurface water will not be
impacted by this mimimg operation.
Review of well data on the surrounding area indicates the highest water table is more than
300 feet below the existing ground surface of the name. We do aot expect to encoumer
ground water on this site for that reason We will mot affect the hydrologic balance of
surface or subsurface water in the area.
