2

COVER LETTER
T}~e operation known as the PHIL SHERIDAN LODE will be performed
entirely within the bounds of the patented mining claim as noted
in Exhibits B and C. A tunnel mine along the fissure vein beneath
a portion of this claim area is the goal.
A=_; soon as permitting is completed, site preparation to support
a tunnel and surface handling of the ore and waste rock will commence.
A portal must be built in solid stable rock and so this must be
prepared. A shaft collar will be prepared with reinforced concrete
if it is determined that it is necessary. All work of course will
be performed in accordance with rules and laws of the Bureau of Mines
and MSHA. It is not anticipasted that we will encounter ground water
for quite some time since there is a 300 foot dry well in the area.
We must, however, take steps to keep run-off water where it belongs
and not in the workings.
This will be a family operation and it is not anticipated that
the activity will be noticable or apparent. All activity will be
limited to reasonable hours of daylight even though underground.
• The sketch, Exhibit C, shows shop and powder storage areas.
These will be constructed for temporary use and, as time goes by,
the pow~9er storage will be moved to a more secure underground
location. The shop may be expanded to handle concentrating facilities
for the ore. These are things which no one can predict, but they
are planned at the present time.
We hope to have a good working relationship with our neighbors,
County Commissioners, State, and Federal regulatory agencies. We
intend i.o work toward this end for a prosperous and beneficial
addition to the community and Boulder County.
~~e ~~~ Ft7 ~~®
au ~ s ~9aa
~~~~~ ~_~rat~
r~EC~Hr~~e~~i~~u orr~~;~aN
