Blasi and Son Trucking and Earthmoving Inc., 39043 County Road 32.4, Trinidad, <br />Colorado 81082, has filed an application for a Construction Materials Limited Impact <br />Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Land Reclamation Act of the extraction of <br />construction materials. The proposed mine is known as the Cucharas Pit and is located <br />at or near Section 35, Township 26, Range 65 West, 10 miles Northeast of Walsenburg, <br />Colorado. <br />The proposed date of commencement is November 1, 2002 and will be completed in 5 <br />years. The land will be reclaimed as rangeland. <br />The only permanent man-made structure located within 200 feet is the fence line that <br />separates the proposed mining area (which the land belongs to James Pace), and the <br />properly of the State of Colorado.
