Golden Eagle Mine
Trinidad, Colorado
December 16, 1988
Page -2-
performed to substantiate our field technician's observations as
to the quality of fill placed.
Determinations of horizontal and vertial limits of work were made
by others. Our firm does not guarantee earthwork construction,
nor should our work or this letter be construed as releasing the
contractor of his primary responsibility to conform with the
construction plans and specifications. Lincoln DeVOre warrants
only that our work was performed in accordance with the current
acceptable standards of practice.
CONCLUSIONS
It is our opinion that the structural fill placed which we
observed and tested during the period of this report has been
placed in substantial conformance with the project specifica-
tions. The minimum compaction specification was met, and
generally was significantly exceeded in the majority of the areas
tested. Because of the time of year in which the work was per-
formed, the contractor did experience some problems with frost in
both the fill and borrow areas. These areas were processed until
the frost was broken up and the soils were considered acceptable
for use as fill by our technician.
This opportunity to be of professional service is sincerely
.appreciated. If any questions arise or if further information is
required, please feel free to contact the undersigned at your
convenience.
Respectfully submitted,
LINCOLN DeVORE, INC.
', ~r~'•
By: Robert J.
