~:

EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN

The goal of the reclamation plan is to return the land to its
present use with as little long term disturbance as possible.
Overburden stripped from the site will be seperated into top-
soil and spoil categories and stockpiled seperately. The topsoil
will be protected from erosion by vegetative cover (wheat grass)
as recommended in the soils report. Once the mining operation is
completed, including the washing and crushing, reclamation will
begin in the southern section of the site. Any backfill material
needed to provide a base for the removed overburden will be ade-
quately compacted to provide soil stability. Maximum side slopes
at the face of the excavation will be no greater than 3:1 (hori-
zontal:vertical) and the grades will not interfere with existing
runoff patterns. Final grading with the stockpiled topsoil will
result in a reclamated site which blends in and compliments the
surrounding topography. Erosion bars will be added to prevent
soil erosion and to aid the revcyetation process.
Once the final grading is complete, the entire disturbed
area, except for the haul road, will be seeded so that reve-
getation will occur ovr~r I:hc sil~•. 'I'hc~ ri~c•~munt•n~lc~~l sc<~<1 mixlurc
in the soils and vegetation information section of Exhibit D
will be utilized. The property owner of the haul road will use
this road for an access to his land, therefore no reclamation of
the road is necessary.
E-1
