a
~'
EXHIBIT D
w
WATER RESOURCES, WILDLIFE, VEGETATION AND SOILS INFORMATION
WATER RESOURCES
Water will be needed at the gravel pit site for the washiny
operation. During washing, approximately 600 gallons per minute
or 1.3 cubic feet per second will be required for a maximum period
of 10 hours resulting in 360,000 gallons per day of water usage.
The water will be supplied from a Miller Creek Ditch lateral which
runs south of the proposed pit. Arthur Amick has a water right of
approximately 4 cubic feet per second in this ditch which is well
above the pit's requirement. Mr. Amic}: plans to construct an
irrigation pond along the lateral which would serve as a pumping
source for the wash water.
The waste wash water will be treated in two settling ponds

shown on the site plan in Exhibit C. These ponds will allow the
suspended sediment to settle out of the water before discharging it.
The effluent will be used for irrigation of the land to the south
of the ponds and for supplementary wash water at the pit.
D-1
