EXIiIBIT G - WATER INFORMATION
SURFACE WATER
The Adams Aggregate Inc., Reclamation Pit No. 1, is almost
entirely within the floodplain of the South Platte River.
At this point the South Platte River has a sand bed channel
that meanders across an alluvial floodplain approximately
1-1/2 miles wide. The Pierre Shale is beneath the alluvium
and the shallow ground water is hydraulically connected to
the South Platte surface water system.
GROUND WATER
The alluvium is the source of ground water on the subject prop-
erty, and because of the hydraulical connection to the surface
stream system, is considered to be tributary and subject to
the appropriation doctrine.
WATER RESOURCES
The Adams Aggregate, Inc., has 45 shares of Fulton Ditch Company
with the land. In addition, the applicant also owns 1 share of
New Brantner Ditch Company stock with the subject property.
According to the secretary of the above Ditch companies, the
Fulton Ditch Company's 45 shares have an annual yield of 112.50
acre-feet, and the New Brantner Ditch,l share yields 3 acre-feet
for a total of 115.50 acre-feet for subject property.
In addition, the subject property also has 8 wells for irrigation,
stock and domestic purposes. Those wells produce anywhere from
0.0136 cfs, to 1.76 cfs. Considering the above water resources,
it is felt that the applicant has more than adequate, available
water resources to accomplish his proposed mining and reclamation
programs-Plan.
