6.4.4 EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN
Mining Description
The Mining Plan is described in this section and correlated with Exhibit C-2 Mine
Plan Map (C-2). Mining is sequenced with designated mining Cells A-D as
shown in C-2.
Mining will employ conventional aggregate mining techniques including use of
scrapers to unearth sand and gravel, backhoes to excavate sand and gravel and
haul trucks to move sand and gravel offsite. No processing will occur onsite.
Material will be processed at the Brownwood Pit (M-1979-059) processing area.
Haul Road
A haul road will be constructed between Cells A-B and Cells C-D. The haul road
will occur at the location of an existing unimproved road, which is approximately
10-12 ft wide. The road will be bladed to a width of 15 ft and graveled with
approximately 6" of gravel.
Earthwork
Earthwork will generally occur as indicated in Table 6.4.4-1. Sand and Gravel
extraction will follow stripping of each mining cell. Reclamation will occur
concurrently wherever possible. Mining cell depth will be approximately 20 ft and
pit highwall slopes will be approximately 0.5H:1 V.
Table 6.4.4-1.
