1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />Connell Resources, Inc. (Connell) has leased land neaz the junction of County Road 5 and <br />State Highway 64 from Robert Williams for the purpose of developing a gravel mining <br />operation. The proposed gavel pit will be called the White River City Pit and is located <br />approximately 17 miles northwest of the town of Meeker and immediately south of the <br />White River as shown below in Figure ]. <br />Connell's proposal involves the construction and operation of a gavel pit of <br />approximately 42.8 acres on a total permit azea of 92.74 acres. This site should generate <br />approximately 250,000 tons of gravel per yeaz forjust over three and a half yeazs.
