i

Fifty-five gallon drums and other small containers which do not have built in secondary
containment will be stored in mobile basins which are capable of containing 110% of the
capacity of the container. There will betimes when these containers aze transported when they
will not be in secondary containment, as it is not feasibly possible, however they will always be
stored in secondary containment.
Any petroleum container of 55 gallons or more that is not designed with secondary containment
will be provided with containment to ensure that spills will be contained, Secondary
containment may consist of one or more of the following types:
• Containment manufactured by Connell Resources, Inc. such as welded steel containers that
the original container will sit in.
• Compacted earth berms lined with 30 mil synthetic liners.
All secondary containment will be designed to hold 110% of the volume of the largest container
in the footprint of the containment.
Overspill materials from the asphalt plant operation will be cleaned up on a weekly basis and
temporarily stored at the west end of the process and equipment azea shown on Map C2. The
storage area will consist of a compacted earthen berm lined with a 30 mil synthetic liner.
The following list is the best estimate as to the mobile equipment which will be used onsite
throughout the mine life:
- 1 or 2 Front end loaders
- 1 or 2 Bulldozers
- 1 Motor Grader
- 1 Fueling Truck
- Several off road haul trucks
- Various 24 ton and 14 ton road haul trucks as necessary to move the products to the final
destination.
- 1 track hoe
White River City Pit, April 07 D-8
