Exhibit I
Soils Information
The soils types inherent to this site and identified by the Grand
County Area Soils Survey as Tine Gravelly Sandy Loan and Tine
Cobbly Sandy Loam. The site is underlain with approximately 20'
of gravel.
There is little if any topsoil on this property. There are no
topsoil stockpiles currently on this site. Grand County has
approved the construction of a 60,000 acre/foot storage reservoir
in close proximity to this site. Grand County is attempting to
arrange with the Colorado River Water Conservation District, the
permittee of the reservoir project, to obtain some of the topsoil
• that will be removed from the reservoir site. This topsoil will
be spread on this site at a depth of 6" over scarified gravel. If
the topsoil is stockpiled for more that two years, Grand County
will seed these stockpiles and keep them free of noxious weeds.
The SCS has completed an analysis of this site. This is included
as an attachment to Exhibit E of this application packet.
