R. - Foiles Pit # 79-210
Dear Sir:
Morgan County is requesting a technical revision of the above
mentioned open gravel pit. The material is used for public roads in
Morgan County.
2.93 acres of the mined area has already been reclaimed. The 5.2
acres is partially mined. The problem encountered is the boundary
line on the easterly side being located on the top of the hill to be
mined creating a problem with the 5.1 slope in the reclamation plan.
By extending the east boundary line approximately 300 feet to the
northeast as shown on the attached drawing Exhibit C, there will be a
more natural 5.1 slope on the east boundary as shown on aerial map
marked Exhibit D. By this move more material will be utilized and
minimize the expense of reclamation. With this technical revision the
pit acres is 9.88.
If additional information is required please contact Robert Samples
970-842-5671, Mailing Address 25949 Rd. T .9, Brush, Co. 80723.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Very truly yours,
Morgan County Commissioners
b ~
cc: Morgan County Clerk
Morgan County Government • 231 Ensign • P.O.
