For <br />example, a sampler may calculate the tubing plus pump volume, then purge 150 or 200 percent <br />of the calculated volume. The DMG recommends that such a procedure be incorporated into <br />the plan. <br />4. Section C.3.3.1 of the draft plan states that the total depth of the well will be measured prior to <br />purging. This is appropriate for traditional purging, but should not be done if micropurging is <br />[o be employed because the insertion of a depth probe will disturb the column of water in the <br />well. <br />The Ground Water and Surface Water Monitoring Plan will have to be incorporated into the State <br />reclamation permit, and this may necessitate certain primarily administrative tailoring to comply with <br />the applicable regulations.
