as ANFO. This uniformly mired, free-running, non-cap-sensitive
blasting agent can he poured from 50-pmmd multiwall paper bugs into
boreholes P'S inches in diameter or larger. IL may also be loaded under
pressure and by lighter venturi-type loaders info bm~ehules as small as
one-inch diameter. ANFO poured from 50-pound bags is predomi-
nantly used in small-diameter, two-inch and larger, rertical boreholes
for construction and quarrying.
Pressure loaders are used in mechanized underground mines, which
have equipment to transpm't the heavy-pressure loaders. The lighter
venturi-type are used where individual miners must carry the units.
