Colorado Gravel Products Inc.
~G" ~lSri~ 45247 Hwy. 112
Center, CO. 81125
Exhibit D -Mining Plan
1. The operator plans to have a 40 foot setback from all property boundaries. The
living snow fence will act as the south boundary of the disturbed area with a 40 foot set
back to the north.
2. We want the Division of Minerals and Geology to be aware that it is our in our plan
to have portable concrete and asphalt plants at this location. We plan to place the
portable plants in the proposed yard and stockpile area. If in the future we decide to
place a permanent concrete or asphalt plant at this location, we will notify the Division
and file any technical revisions or amendments and increase all necessary bonding.
3. As stated earlier the topsoil depth varies from place to place. This operator will
remove all top soil regardless of depth and reuse for Reclamation. Due to the alluvial
sand and gravel directly below the topsoil lacking any plasticity, the operator must
leave topsoil in place on the road and yard area. Prior to reclamation the operator will
remove all gravel placed on the portion of the road which we plan to till and
revegetate. The yard area will also be cleared of all stockpile material prior to topsoil
removal and mining. This operator feels that the top soil is a valuable commodity
necessary for the future reclamation and for developing this rangeland back to a
profitable operation.
4. We have considered the seepage and placed the live snow fence along that area
assuring us there will be no problem with seepage on this site.
5. As stated we will have a 40 foot setback from all property boundaries and from the
live snow fence. Part of this set back will be used as a topsoil stockpile area if the
operator needs to temporarily place topsoil there. The only structures on this property
are old fences acting as property lines. The condition of these fences is very poor with
most of the wood posts rotted off and falling down. The operator will take extreme care
not to disturb them and the operator will maintain a reasonable distance from these
structures. This operator intends to have livestock on this property to help supplement
our income and help maintain the weeds. We will see that all fences remain in place.
