Revisions -Exhibit C-2A ConstrucHon of Main Access Road -Please revise Exhibit C-2A to include
the following:
engineering designs & details for the culvert installation/drainage crossing at the lower end of
main access road (culvert size & flow capacity, % grade, #ft of compacted fill above, outlet
controls, etc.)
engineering designs & details for conveyance of road drainage to Sediment Pond A
acceptable grade control methods for road drainage (straw bales aze not acceptable)
Revisions -Exhibit C-2C Mining Plan Map -Please revise Exhibit C-2C to include the following:
engineering designs & plans, including slope configuration(s), for each runoff diversion channel
engineering designs & plans, including spillway configuration/method, for each sediment pond
width, depth, & slope(s) chazacterizarion of natural drainages to be reproduced via diversion
channels (recommended-not required)
Revisions -Critical Cross Sections 10-Year Plan -Please revise the Critical Cross Sections 10-Yeaz
Plan Map to include details for cross sections A-A', B-B', C-C', D-D', & E-E'.
Revisions -Critical Cross Sections Processing/Plant Area -Please revise the Critical Cross Sections
Processing/Plant Area Map to include the following:
details for cross sections A-A', B-B', C-C', D-D'
clarify the location and orientation of the processing plant area typical cross section
orientation for construction of the waste rock pile, ie: downstream to upstream, other?
plans & designs for the internal haul road to the temporary waste rock storage area, is this
a temporary road to be reclaimed during fmal reclamation?
6.4.4 EXHIBIT D - Minine Plan
Maximum Disturbance -The applicant has specified that the mine plan encompasses only 27.71 of the
entire 526.70 acres to be permitted. The mine plan also specifies the following disturbances: a) main
access road, b) processing/loadout site, c) waste rock storage pile, d) quarry extraction azea, and e)
- inciden4aTdisfurbarices.--In conformance wry Ames 6A~(d~and-6.-4~(eJ(ii), please clarify tha maximum
disturbance to be expected at any one time throughout the life of the operation. Please be sure to describe
the maximum quarry disturbance in terms of the vertical and horizontal extent of un-reclaimed highwalls
and their configuration as well as the volume of shot rock at the foot of highwalls and the "footprint" of the
entire quarry disturbance. Please respond.
Overburden -The applicant specifies on page 8 that excess cut material from main access road
construction will be placed in a temporary waste rock storage azea, and on page 9 that up to 90,000 cubic
yazds of unusable overburden maybe generated during construction of the 4 acre processing/loadout site.
In conformance with Rule 6.4.4(f), please clarify the maximum volume and location of un-reclaimed
overburden or waste rock to be expected at any one time throughout the life of the operation. This estimate
should address the estimated volume of waste rock or overburden from the main access road construction
and/or from quarrying operations at the toe of the quarry highwalls. Please respond.
Process Files - In conformance with Rule 6.4.4(f), please verify the maximum expected volume of process
fines to be generated and stockpiled on site at any time throughout the life of the operation.
