This arrangement <br />maximizes efficiency in serving Service customers relating to the conservation of Federal trust fish and <br />wildlife resources, including threatened and endangered species and migratory birds. The Lakewood ES <br />Office primarily handles issues on the Eastern Slope, while the Grand Junction Office primarily handles <br />West Slope issues. <br />Station Objectives <br />Administer Endangered Species Act (ESA) regulations and policies in Colorado relating to the <br />conservation and recovery of federally listed and candidate species. <br />Review the status of declining fish, wildlife, and plants that may become eligible for Federal listing. <br />Participate in novel approaches to the conservation of declining species that maybe effective <br />alternatives to Federal listing. <br />Address contaminant impacts on fish and wildlife. <br />1/10/2005 <br />http://mountain-prairie.fws.gov/es/Colorado/Lakewood%20and%20GrandJunction.htm <br />
