The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG} received objections to the112 Reclamation
Permit Application for Seifert Construction's Boyer Pit. Therefore, in accordance with Rule 2.7.1 of the
Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, aPre-
hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on April 10, 2003, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in
Westciiffe, Colorado. The meeting location will be the Custer County Courthouse, 205 S. Sixth
Street in Westciiffe.
Ms. Sandra Brown wip preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing
Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of
parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes,
to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine
who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board Hearing.
In addition, staff wi(I schedule this matter for a Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board on May 28`h or 29th, 2003 beginning at 10:00 am. The location for this meeting will
be in Denver, Colorado at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318. Please review the enclosed
informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, RE: Citizen Participation in the 112 Reclamation
Permit Application Process Revised October 19, 2001, and complete either of the last two
pages, if applicable, and return the completed form to DMG or bring the completed form to the
Pre-hearing Conference.
