Box 597 Natural Resource Trustee
Meeker, CO 81641
_/
Re: Russell Ranch Pit, IlOc Application No. M-2006-008, Approval..
Dear Mr. Rogers:
The Division of Minerals and Geology has finished the review process for the above referenced 110c
application. It appears the Russell Ranch GP has clarified and corrected all issues of concern regarding
the application for staff. The application now appears to meet the minimum standards for approval.
Please note that staff has documentation of Notice being sent to the two adjacent landowners but proof
of receipt for only one. This is due to the loss of the return receipt by ranch staff. Staff will not require
re-notice, but if the issue is brought up by the landowner, the permit issuance maybe held up until proof
of service is established. With this in mind, staff is pleased to inform Russell Ranch GP that the
application is approved.
Staff estimates that the reclamation cost for this site is $22,803.00. Russell Ranch has given verbal
acceptance of these calculations. Therefore, the reauired Financial Warranty for the permit will be set at
$22.803.00. The permit will not become active until the Denver Office accepts the Financial and
Performance Warranties. As a reminder, no mining related activities may begin until the permit is
activated and all other permits required are in place.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone
no. 970-241-1117.
Sincerely
~/J- -
G.
