15. RECLAMATION PLAN:
1. END USE OF AFFECTED LAND:
At the completion of our mining and reclamation
program, the area will be a lake surrounded by a grass
covered fifty foot berm with a gentle 3:1 slope to
the water level.. As mentioned before, the landowner
will probably use the area along the recreation line.
2. IMPLEMENTATION PLAN, TIMETABLE AND REHABILITATION
OF SURFACE PLAN:
As the sand and gravel is being removed from the
deposit, the topsoil will be stripped and saved.
The berm area will be built as the area is mined.
After the area is mined out, the berm will be topsoiled
and seeded at that time. This will hold the disturbed
areas at an absolute minimum. Llhen the topsoil is
placed (a minimum of six inches) it will be free of
rocks and will be placed and compacted to line and
grade. Before seeding, it will be harrowed so
that the proper seed bed is obtained. The seed mixture
as recommended by the Soil Conservation Service, will
be:
RATE PER ACRE
A. Vina ussian ild Rye 4 lbs. P.L.S.
B. Western Wheatgrass 2 lbs. P.L.S.
C. Indian Ricegrass 3 lbs. P.L.S.
D. Four-cling Saltbush l lb. P.L.S.
Upon the completion of the pit reclamation, we will
cease our dewatering operation and allow the water
table to return to its natural elevation.
Should you have any questions concerning this application,
please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
CORN CONSTRUCTION CO.
~ ~.~.
oy W. eterson, Engineer
LWP/c j s
Encl.
