In 1992, the Department of Energy commissioned astate-of--the-art
seismic hazard assessment for the former Rocky Flats Nuclear
Weapons Plant northeast of Denver. This study (Risk Engineering,
1994), requiring two years to complete, represents the current bench-
mazk for seismic hazazd studies in Colorado. Currently, the Colorado
Geological Survey is revising the evaluation of potentially active faults
and earthquake history of Colorado. As part of our studies for the
Trout Creek Project, we obtained and advance copy of the revised
earthquake history of Colorado through the courtesy of Dr. Pat Rogers,
CGS.
8
